why the blog?

me!

i’ve always been pretty down-to-earth about fitness and nutrition but realized that in order to practice what i preach i must continue to push myself to the next level.  having the opportunity to get trained by an amazing mentor, i’ve decided to do this so while this blog will touch on many things – over the next 12 weeks you’ll get an inside look on what it takes to push yourself both mentally and physically.  warning to friends and family: word has it that i will get cranky toward the end so please bear with me and know that i love you.
